Did anyone see the trainwreck “The Winner” last night?
Oh my crap, it was so much worse than I thought it could be. I don’t see a rosy future for this one.

I’d like to believe that all the rumors about the Google phone are really just confused rumors that Google is working on applications and tie-ins to the iPhone.
Eric Schmidt is on the Apple board currently, and he’s mentioned that they’re working on more things together.
Looked amazing, the plot was a bit thin, lots of nipples, lots of stabbing.
I wrote about CBC Radio 3 a while ago and if our server didn’t have a meltdown and I had good backups I’d link to that story. But the server did melt and backups are for sissies, so you’ll have to talk my word for it. Nevertheless, I e-strolled by and was once again I was treated to a wealth of hot indie music.
Specifically, ThunderHeist was a nice surprise. And the live session with Tokyo Police Club.
Where would you slot Thunderheist into the musical colour wheel? I’ve been hearing a lot about them lately.
As of right now, I’d say “interesting.” This is only due to low exposure. Due to no album, we only have MySpace/CBC and seeing them live.
OMG OMG OMG Young Liars OMG OMG OMG Blind OMG OMG OMG Staring at the Sun OMG OMG OMG
As a observer to Ty’s behaviour last night, I can attest to the fact that this was indeed his exact reaction over the course of the evening.
And might I add “OMG OMG OMG Wolf Like Me”…..
A wise and complete summary, Mr. Weir. I might also add several check-marks for the seldom used “Wind Chime Guitar”
I was surprised they played Blind, as it never really struck me as a song that would work well live. I was wrong of course, and my belting out the lyrics as loud as I could, was my admission.
So true…Windchime guitar, mouth piano and hand held crash cymbal all get major props over here.
I’m watching “I Bleed Black” right now as I get ready to go to a fund raiser that Laura and two friends are running (Breast Cancer).
While watching all the hot outdoor Ultimate action I started to wonder if all my Fartlek work will pay off for outdoor. It’s definitely working for indoor, but the two games are quite different when it comes to intensity. Indoor is quick-point, so play starts immediately after a point is scored, so you’re always on the go. Outdoor gives you a lot more time to recover after a point. My guess is that I’ll see a nice boost in outdoor as well, but we’ll have to wait about a month to see.
I figure that the next thing to work on it sport specific strength training.
A couple of observations about I Bleed Black:
- they swear a lot
- they had a surprising number of really bad high fives, awkward and embarrassing :)
- they dive on d like crazy… really amazing stuff
The March 2007 issue of Wired is hideous, inside and out.
The new layout is brutally ugly in comparison to the previous style. I hope this stops soon.
Matt and I are going to see TV on the Radio this Sunday. To prepare for any concert I like to listen to everything I possibly can by the band, so I dug around and found their previous stuff in a milk crate in the basement.
Why did I put this music away? It’s so effing great. This concert shall be “teh awesome.”

You saved yourself some time… it was brutal.
