A fun workout in prep for our second benchmark workout tomorrow.
It was a boys versus girls race workout, so Paul and I took on Marnie and Rosemary in:
- 100 Overhead Squats (25lbs bar)
- 200 Kettleball Swings (16kg)
- 300 Sledgehammer Tire Hits (12lbs sledge)
Paul and I split the workout 50/50 and did it 19:31 and the girls miscounted and had to scramble right at the end and finished in 19:38. It was good time.
In other news our number one Mixed touring team was in need of a few players for this weekend’s tournament and I got the call to fill in. Should be a great tournament.
A lighter workout today, all core:
35-25-15-5 reps of:
- Atomic Situps
- Floor Wipers
- Back extensions
Which I completed in 8:58.
Jeff Hawkins started Palm, Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience and Numenta.
His TED Talk is awesome and so is his book.
Hey, guess who’s tired? I am. Monday’s morning workout plus Ultimate last night makes a man-boy like me tired.

in 14:15.

We’re coming down the final stretch.
We did “Jackie”:
- 1000 m Rowing
- 50 Thrusters (45 lbs bar)
- 30 Pullups (seated for me, pullups are by far my worst exercise)
11:51 was my time.
