CrossFit: Day 1 of Bootcamp.
(Alternate title: Tyler stinks at skipping)
After a bit of philosophy, John got us going through the warm-up (where I found out, I can do only a single pull-up). The warm-up got the blood moving and we got started on the workout.
3 rounds of:
160 counts of skipping or 40 double-unders
15 pushups
15 situps
15 squats
which I completed in 12:30.
The alternate title says it all, I would have flunked Skipping 101 in school.
I weighed in at 175 lbs on the gym scale (178 on my home scale). I took a measurement of my gut as well, but I don’t remember the number, I think it was 34.5 inches.

Keep posting these routines, I’m curious as to what they have you doing. I may just go home and do this one myself, seems very efficient.
There seems to be a trend in fitness back towards natural movements and getting people away from highly specific, machine based routines. Not that I don’t love working my abductors……

The basic philosophy is to do full and complete movements. So rather that keep the resistance the same and do a half rep, do a full rep with less resistance.
