Setanta: One month in: disappointing 0

So far I’ve been a bit let down by Setanta. Mainly due to one reason, they can’t seem to tell me what’s on.

Tonight at 8:00pm was a good example:
Bell ExpressVu listing: Manchester United vs Middlesbrough
Setanta Canada Website: Bolton vs Aston Villa
Actually on TV: Derby vs Everton

Three sources, all different.

So far Setanta’s attention to detail has not been on par with the cost of the channel.

There is supposed to be TheScore2 coming that should be specializing in Football, Cricket and Rugby. I hope they’re a real competitor for Setanta, then maybe they’d stop sucking.

CBC’s Dragon’s Den 2

Launching a business is no small task. No matter how big an idea you think you have, it still takes a lot of work and a ton of cash. Enter the Dragons’ Den, where aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their business concepts and products to a panel of Canadian business moguls who have the cash and the know-how make it happen. They’ve all been there themselves, so you better not walk into the Den unprepared. It takes more than passion to convince these boardroom giants that your idea is worth their attention. The Dragons are ruthless and rightly so – it’s their own personal money on the line.

Leopard: Spaces 0

The multiple desktop implementation in Leopard, called Spaces, is exactly the way I wanted multiple desktops implemented.

Switching apps automatically switches to the right desktop, alerts stay in the right place.

Well done.

Killer workout.

My iPod Touch is an extension of my Mac. 0

At least that’s what I want it to be now that there is an SDK coming. What I’d like to see in the future is the ability to do what I do on my MBP on my iTouch. So far, to have that happen I’ll need:
- a VoodooPad app (I sent Gus a message asking to be a beta tester :)
- a PDF reader with local storage

Looks like that’s it for now. Wow, seems like I don’t do much on my Mac. :)
