Babies are cute… 3
Just spent four days in the sunny southwest. Okay - it was Windsor but technically it’s southwest and sunnier than Toronto’s arctic temps lately. Stayed with my cousin, her husband and their 3 month old son and played fake mommy for 4 days. These are the things I’ve learned:
1. Baby powder is no longer en vogue. Who knew babies couldn’t breathe powder?
2. Don’t believe what people tell you about babies being easy going and reasonable. They want what they want when they want it and if they don’t get it, you’re totally gonna pay.
3. A 3 month old’s smile is powerful enough to warm even the most frustrated and sleep deprived parents heart. To be fair, I didn’t really put this one to the test. I was far from sleep deprived because that poor little guy would have to scream pretty loud to wake me out of my hibernation-like slumber but don’t worry, his real mom is far more attentive than I. The fact remains though that his smile is probably all we need to achieve world peace.
4. Buying adorable clothing for babies is fun but trying to get some of the fancier, less sensible outfits on the baby is a bit of a different story. Good things babies are so flexible.
Here’s a pic of me and Marcus. Had a good time buddy!!
