Dammit Apple, I just gave you money. C’mon.

The multiple desktop implementation in Leopard, called Spaces, is exactly the way I wanted multiple desktops implemented.
Switching apps automatically switches to the right desktop, alerts stay in the right place.
Well done.

At least that’s what I want it to be now that there is an SDK coming. What I’d like to see in the future is the ability to do what I do on my MBP on my iTouch. So far, to have that happen I’ll need:
- a VoodooPad app (I sent Gus a message asking to be a beta tester :)
- a PDF reader with local storage
Looks like that’s it for now. Wow, seems like I don’t do much on my Mac. :)
iPhone/iPod Touch Application SDK!!!!
From the Apple Hot News Section:
Let me just say it: We want native third party applications on the iPhone, and we plan to have an SDK in developersÂ’ hands in February.
well, we have this pattern with Apple, where we meet with them, people there go “wow, gaming is incredibly important, we should do something with gaming”. And then we’ll say, “OK, here are three things you could do to make that better”, and then they say OK, and then we never see them again.
Interview link with Gabe Newell, head of Valve.
I really wish Valve would release their games on the Mac. I don’t like having to boot into Windows just to play Half-Life 2.
It requires a WiFi connection, but all you have to do it bookmark the xml feed of the podcast and then you can listen to any of them on-demand.
It’s sure not ideal, but it sort of works.
So, there are rumors swirling again about the New Newton and I’d love to see it.
Bearing in mind that I’ve only had 2 days with iPod Touch, I can see the value in a larger version of the Touch positioned as a tablet/pda/whatever.
Most of the missing features I’d like to see are PDA-like, note taking, calendar stuff, email.
I know I’d have to seriously consider a tablet sized Touch if it appeared.
My iPod Touch showed up.
Utter hotness.
Gmail works well, Google Calendar and Meebo. WiFi has worked well so far.
I’ll post pictures tonight.
[Update]
I’d like a few things on the iPod Touch:
- RSS Reader
- Maps Widget
- Google Calendar integration
- Note taking application
- Gestures!
Yesterday I said it hadn’t shipped and I just got notification that my iPod Touch is on it’s way.
beep beep.
I saw one in the hands of a first time orderer, last night!
