    Setanta: One month in: disappointing

So far I’ve been a bit let down by Setanta. Mainly due to one reason, they can’t seem to tell me what’s on.

Tonight at 8:00pm was a good example:
Bell ExpressVu listing: Manchester United vs Middlesbrough
Setanta Canada Website: Bolton vs Aston Villa
Actually on TV: Derby vs Everton

    Three sources, all different.

So far Setanta’s attention to detail has not been on par with the cost of the channel.

There is supposed to be TheScore2 coming that should be specializing in Football, Cricket and Rugby. I hope they’re a real competitor for Setanta, then maybe they’d stop sucking.

    Intel Mac with broken Rosetta?

Apps like StarCraft, Office 2004 and Flash not starting? Just bouncing in the dock once and dying?

Console.app saying stuff like: “lsf_map: RO mapping #0 not in segmentshared region?”

    This is your fix.

    Apple users whine too much.

So Leopard will be late. Better later and better then early and buggy. But let the whining begin!

    The humidity begins.

Ah yes, spring is here. And so begins the humidity.

    Wired: on noes.

I suppose the redesign of Wired is finally done now that both the magazine and the site are all-new.

    Wow. Just hideous.

What’s the matter? The format is a simple matrix, columns and rows have no relation save for the picture in column 1 which may or may not have anything to do with an article in the corresponding row. The header section is saved for key articles which may or may not be more important than the tertiary articles located directly beneath them, and the list of links at the bottom allows me to jump to other sites that may be of interest to me, like Men’s Vogue and Home & Garden….Why are you such a baby?

It’s ugly like the devil’s face.

Did anyone see the trainwreck “The Winner” last night?

Oh my crap, it was so much worse than I thought it could be. I don’t see a rosy future for this one.

You saved yourself some time… it was brutal.

    March 2007 Wired: Hideous.

The March 2007 issue of Wired is hideous, inside and out.

The new layout is brutally ugly in comparison to the previous style. I hope this stops soon.

    You’re losing me Lost.

Lost, you were on thin ice at the start of season 3… now Bai Ling shows up.

Oy, I wanted to toss a shoe at the TV.

You’re close to being cut Lost.

I am also getting frustrated with some of the latest developments. Carl (or Karl) the exiled “Other” who has been tortured, and treated like a lab rat, seemed to me to be the answer to a bunch of nagging questions. Where did the Others come from? What are they doing here? Why did they kidnap Sawyer and Kate, just to put them in cages and have them haul rocks around? How much contact do they have with the outside world? ETC.ETC.ETC.

However, Sawyer tells him to take off before grilling him for answers – that doesn’t make any sense to me. As if Sawyer isn’t a bit baffled by the Others and curious to get some answers…

However, I am far more loyal a fan than you, and I’ll stick it out till the bitter end in hopes of it regaining it’s previous wonderfulnessity! And when it does, you’ll be all confused because you missed episodes and I’ll just laugh and laugh.

You are more loyal, but we only have one TV, so I guess I’m watching more Lost. :)

    Greed wins yet again.

It happened again. A woman went buck-ass insane on Deal or No Deal and walked away with $500. Could have had $84,000, but no, you had to suck instead.

    Burn!

    I rock!

I was distracted watching the Liverpool/Chelsea game and I deleted a ton of pdfs, music and source code.

No problem, I’ll just load up my backups…. oh wait, what backups? Dammit.
