I love double tabata mashups, I think it’s a perfect level of effort for me.
8 rounds of:
- 185# Deadlift
- Pullups
Lowest Dead was 3, lowest Pullups, 4 (tore a callous, sadface)
I feel so jacked after Double Tabs… hot sauce!

I love Tabata intervals. I’m going to do a Mashup of Rowing and Squat Jumps.
Modified 2 Minute Defense
5 rounds of:
- 1 Power clean (boys: 135#; girls: 85#) – L: 45# T: 85# – we both should have done more weight.
- 3 Hang cleans (same weight)
- 2 Split jerks (same weight)
- 20 Double-unders
- 1 minute rest
L: 9:49
T: 8:36
And Tabata pushups as well:
L: 13, 11(messed up the timing), 8, 6, 6, 6, 6
T: 19, 11(messed up the timing), 8, 7, 7, 6, 5
3 Rounds for time of:
- 10 Deadlift (L: 95# T: 135#)
- 25 Sumo High Pulls (L: 45# T: 85#) – that’s some bad form!

We also did Tabata Squats:

I was happy with 20.
And an ex-girlfriend from high school is a member of CrossFit Toronto now, good to see her.
We took a week off to fully recover and then come back refreshed. It felt quite good.

We both felt we should have done more weight on the deads.
I did Tabata pushups as well, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 7, 5 = 60 total
As soon as the hole in my left hand heals, I’m going to add Tabata pullups and squats.
Tabata This:
Tabata rounds of:
- Pullups – seated for Laura, rings for me since I have a hole in my left hand
- Pushups – on feet for both of us
- Situps – normal for Laura, atomic for me
- Squats – normal for both
- Rowing

Tyler: 38 – pullup 5, pushup 6, situp 12, squat 10, row 5 – should have done 15 for squats, took it easy because playoffs start tomorrow.
